A Patoka man is facing multiple charges after a crash early Saturday morning.

Authorities say the incident happened around 12:10 a.m. on April 26 on County Road 550 East near County Road 250 South. Law enforcement found a 2000 Jeep stuck in a ditch on the west side of the road. The driver was identified as 19-year-old Shane Bausch of Patoka.

Following a roadside investigation, police say there was probable cause to believe Bausch had been operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Bausch was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated with endangerment, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, minor consumption, battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and battery on law enforcement officers by bodily waste.
