
Hundreds of runners and walkers took part in the 4th annual Historical Half Marathon in Vincennes on Saturday.
The event, co-sponsored by Blazer 91.1, began with the national anthem performed by Jayna Carie, timed with a flyover by Scott Stine, Tim Trotter, David Read, and Tim Mason.
Participants ran in the half marathon, 10K, 5K, and kids run, starting at the Memorial Bridge and passing historical sites through downtown Vincennes.
Top five finishers in the half marathon were Chase Adam of Vincennes (1:19:06), Matt Barsch of Evansville, Devin Little John of Linton, Lucas Kissel of Fort Branch, and Abigail Meyers of Portsmouth (1:32:49).
The Rotary Young Leaders of Vincennes host the event to promote the city and support local projects.
