A police chase in Daviess County ended with the suspect driver being apprehended at gunpoint.

Starting around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, a truck led police on a high speed chase through parts of Martin and Daviess Counties.

The driver was said to have fled after an attempted police traffic stop in Martin County.  The chase crossed the line in Daviess County where deputies there assisted in the chase.

Stop sticks were deployed near the Odon Fire Department, and the truck struck a fire hydrant during the chase. Despite losing multiple tires, the vehicle continued through several roads.

The pursuit ended at the intersection of County Roads 1100 East and 1625 North, where officers drew their weapons and took the driver into custody.

The name of that driver was not released.
