Another main road was affected by river flooding on Wednesday. US 50 west in Knox County near the intersection with State Road 241 is down to one lane as river levels began pouring over the road.
Numerous other roads remain closed and again authorities are urging motorists to abide by those road closing and high water signs and not attempt to drive through the water.

Looking at the latest river stages according to the National Water Prediction Service, the White River at Edwardsport was at 26.7 feet overnight and dropping, below Edwardsport it was at 26.5 overnight and falling. Flood stage at Edwardsport is 15 feet.
At Petersburg the white was nearly 27 feet and is currently forecast to rise to 27.7 and crest Friday night before beginning a slow fall. That is under two feet below the record stage of 29.5 feet. The Prediction Service say the White at Hazelton is at 27.7 feet and will rise to 29.5 and crest over the weekend. Flood stage at Petersburg and Hazelton is 16 feet.
The Wabash River at Vincennes is forecast to reach 21.8 feet today and then begin to fall. Flood stage is 16 feet.
