Monroe City residents were left without water after a water main break late Sunday night around 11:30.
Service was restored Monday around 3:30 p.m. after what officials say is a temporary fix. Some customers may experience low water pressure. The parts for a permananet repair were scheduled to be picked up last night and water will will turned off at 8:30 this morning for crews to finish their work. After service is restored again, a water boil order will be in effect until further notice.
A section of Johnson Street in Monroe City is closed as the work is being completed.
Officials apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the public’s patience.
