Greene County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect Wednesday afternoon in connection with a stolen vehicle from Monroe County. Deputies located the vehicle on State Road 58 near U.S. 231 and attempted a traffic stop as it traveled south into Daviess County. The driver refused to stop, swerving into oncoming traffic before the vehicle was disabled remotely by OnStar.

The driver exited the vehicle and was taken into custody without further incident. Authorities say he was wanted in Illinois for possession of a stolen vehicle. He was transported to Monroe County to face charges.
