The Indiana State Fire Marshal will be investigating a North Knox area fire.

A small fire in a yard in Bruceville spread to a neighbor’s home, causing extensive damage late Wednesday afternoon. Fire units from Washington, Vigo, and Vincennes Townships were on the scene, as well as Bicknell City Fire. There were no injuries, and the incident is under investigation.

Meanwhile, as firefighters were on the scene, a water leak was discovered under State Road 550 in the area of the fire. Water was turned off overnight so crews could work on the leak. Due to the issue, North Knox School Corporation has opted to observe an E-Learning day for North Knox Intermediate School only today. North Knox Primary, Junior High, and High Schools will be in session as normal.
