Gibson County authorities responded to an unusual crash Sunday morning at a Huck’s Gas Station near Fort Branch.

Deputies say a truck struck the building and then got stuck in a ditch while attempting to leave.

When officers arrived, they found the driver, 25-year-old James Johnson of Petersburg, inside the store with visible injuries.

A medic was called, and deputies say Johnson smelled of alcohol.

After a roadside investigation, he was arrested and taken to the Gibson County Jail. Johnson faces multiple charges, including operating while intoxicated with a prior offense, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving while suspended.
