First City News studios recently had the pleasure of hosting Andrew Staggs as he informed everyone a little more about his group One Cause. One Cause opened their doors and beliefs to society in 2015 starting from the ground up in Stagg’s back yard.

Andrew Staggs was more than happy to share quite a bit of information about his passion, he stated, “we’ve been around for a while, most people have heard that name and know what it is, but a lot of people have heard our music”.

Staggs added, “A lot of people hear what we’re doing, but it’s a little more than music” One Cause is on a mission to rescue children from human trafficking as well as spread the gospel to help uplift others in different communities.

One Cause had a Big year in 2024, traveling to different cities gifting their beliefs to others through their music. Staggs stated, “we went on our first real tour as well as having tours of our own, but our first one is where we got to tagline with a larger artist” he added, “and the cool thing is, we rescued a ton of children that’s the most important thing”.

Playing their music for crowds not only raises money for the cause, but also brings awareness to a controversial topic. “Awareness is key” Staggs addressed, “when we raise funds, it’s vitally important because without money, you can’t move” he continues, “but in that same light we don’t get anywhere if people don’t join in”.

With January also being Human Trafficking Awareness Month, Staggs opened up about what One Cause has been busy doing. Heartily stating, “For us it’s every month” adding on, “but specifically in january we started a campaign called ‘The 50’”. Staggs continues, “when 150 people join and give at least $10 a month, we rescue a child every single month”.

Upon the excitement for the new year One Cause is also gearing up for something festive. Unspoken will again be back in the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center this upcoming March, as well as hosting One Cause for a night in Vincennes March 2nd, and also for their show in Sullivan Indiana March 1st.

Staggs stated, “It’s gonna be a huge year for touring, going to different places, and gaining more people to help rescue children”. In addition to touring with high-profile artists, One Cause also does music of their own, even hinting at an album coming this year. Jokingly, Staggs states, “we’re not giving anyone the date yet because we want people to be excited”.

A special offer is in store for those who do join “The 150”. Staggs added, “Anybody who joins ‘The 150’ is going to get that album in their hands before it even comes out”. “There’s music out there now on every streaming platform, and there’s more to come”.
