The Knox County Commissioners made several board appointments and tabled others during their Tuesday meeting.

Commissioners discussed retaining experience on the Drainage Board. Heath Gardner was initially nominated by Commissioner Kellie Streeter, but her motion but did not receive a second. A subsequent motion to appoint Matt Richardville by Commissioner Tim Ellerman was approved in a 2-1 vote with Streeter voting no.  She noted the importance of retaining someone with institutional knowledge and understanding of the major projects that are scheduled.

Meanwhile, Leslie Hoffman was unanimously appointed to the PACE Board. Hoffman met specific requirements outlined by the organization

Tim Salters was appointed to the Parks and Recreation Board in a 2-1 vote with Commissioner Streeter opposed.

The Library Board and the Wabash Valley Community Corrections Board appointments were tabled. Streeter commented that qualified candidates are ready to serve on the Community Corrections Board. Both motions to table passed 2-1 with Streeter opposed.
