The Knox County Commissioners held their first meeting of 2025 Tuesday morning, marking the debut of newly elected Commissioner Tim Ellerman II.

During the session, the three-member board elected new officers for the year.

Outgoing President Kellie Streeter noted she had requested to remain President for 2025 to manage daytime and administrative duties, citing her availability. However, she said she received no response to her request.

Ellerman then motioned for Commissioner T.J. Brink to assume the role of President. The board approved the motion in a 2-1 vote, with Streeter opposed.

Brink then motioned for Ellerman to become Vice President and that motion passed unanimously.
