One person was jailed after a Tuesday police chase.
It all began when a property damage accident occurred at the intersection of Cumberland Drive and State Road 57 in Washington.
According to the caller, an older brown sedan rear-ended their vehicle before fleeing the scene. Several officers responded, initiating a pursuit that saw the suspect vehicle speeding through local roads at over 100 mph.
As the chase neared Barr-Reeve School, the school briefly went into lockdown. Indiana State Police eventually apprehended the driver near Odon, allowing the lockdown to end.
The driver, 41-year-old Jarit Dexter Knepp was found to allegedly have a blood alcohol concentration of 0.270. He was taken to Daviess Community Hospital for evaluation and then booked into the Daviess County Security Center on numerous charges.
