As of Monday, 1,974 Knox County residents have already voted early for the upcoming November 5th election, according to Knox County Clerk David Shelton.

Early voting continues Monday through Friday at the former Work Release Center on North 8th Street in Vincennes. For those needing weekend access, additional voting hours are available this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at three locations: the Work Release Center, the Blue Jeans Center in Monroe City, and the Bicknell Firehouse.

While there are no county races on the ballot, federal and state contests are believed to be driving voter turnout. Local interest has also been sparked by the Vincennes School Board At-Large race and a contested seat in South Knox’s District C.
