The Knox County Library Board has approved its 2025 budget, which remains unchanged from last year.
Also during their meeting this week it was noted that siding replacement work has begun at the historic McGrady-Brockman House. The Historic Review Board gave the green light earlier this year to replace the building’s aluminum siding with vinyl.
Additionally, the library is hosting a special “Booo-K Sale” on Saturday, October 26th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Fortnightly Club on North 6th Street. This customer appreciation event will feature a free pumpkin pancake breakfast provided by the Community Learning Kitchen, and visitors can take home a bag of books at no cost.
