A Freeze Warning has been issued for Knox, Daviess, Martin, Sullivan, and Greene Counties, with sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 degrees expected.

The warning will be in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. EDT on Thursday. The conditions could potentially damage crops, sensitive vegetation, and unprotected outdoor plumbing.

In addition, a Frost Advisory is in place for Pike and Gibson Counties, where temperatures are expected to drop as low as 33 degrees.  That advisory will last from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. EDT on Thursday.

Frost could harm sensitive outdoor plants if they are left uncovered.

Residents are urged to take precautionary steps to protect plants and outdoor items, as this could mark the end of the growing season.
