FROM INDIANA PUBLIC BROADCASTING

Indiana residents seeking housing resources now have access to a new tool developed by Prosperity Indiana.

The organization has launched an interactive housing stability map that connects users with local housing counseling agencies. The map utilizes data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to offer advice, information, and financial guidance to homeowners and renters.

Tonya Dinkins from Prosperity Indiana explains that the tool aims to increase awareness of available resources across the state, especially in areas with a growing need for housing.

In addition to helping renters and homeowners, housing counselors can also assist individuals experiencing homelessness. So far this year, more than 3,000 households in Indiana have used housing counseling services.
