The City of Vincennes has received a $12,500 grant from the Duke Energy Foundation to support revitalization efforts at Chicago Park. The funds will be used to enhance the park’s amenities, including the addition of new pickleball courts and a scoreboard. The improvements aim to boost tourism and position the park as a venue for future tournaments.
City officials, including Councilman Ed Gornall, Park Superintendent JR Field, and Mayor Joe Yochum, were present alongside Kurt Phegley of Duke Energy for the grant announcement.
These upgrades are part of ongoing efforts to make Chicago Park a hub for community recreation and events.
