A Pike County musician has been awarded a gold single.

Michael Cochren, of Cochren and Co., a contemporary Christian Music act was informed this week that the group’s first single release called “Church (Take Me Back)” was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The song was on their 2021 debut album Don’t Lose Hope and made it to the top 10 of Billboard’s Christian Music Charts.

Since the debut release, Cochren and Co. have scored several more hits and have made appearances on the Grand Ole Opry.
