The Town of Monroe City has issued a water boil order.

It was put in place due to the recently replacement of a fire hydrant.

Such orders are part of standard procedure when that time of maintenance work is needed.

It’s recommended that water be boiled before being consumed.

The town will inform residents when test results are received.
