Farmers from Knox and Gibson Counties are recipients of the  2024 River Friendly Farmer Award.

Winners were announced recently at the Indiana State Fair.

The  award is  sponsored by the Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (IASWCD), and recognizes farmers and landowners who have implemented exceptional conservation practices to protect Indiana’s waterways.

The award ceremony honored several recipients from across the state, recognizing their commitment to sustainable farming and environmental stewardship.

Some of those winners were : Clem Witteried of Knox County

Gary Siebert of Gibson County

Brad Parker with G&B Farms in Posey County

James Breivogal of  Breivogal Farms in Warrick County
