Nature Days at SW Purdue Ag Center

Knox County CISMA to host Nature Days on July 27
The Knox County Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area is hosting a Nature Days program at Southwest Purdue Ag Center 4369 N. Purdue Road in Vincennes. This event will occur from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday, July 27.
The theme for 2024 is Protecting Knox County’s Biodiversity.

Sessions include:

  • Find out how to use pesticides to rid your property of invasive plants. -Val Clingerman, County Extension Director and Agriculture and Natural Resource Educator
  • Learn how to identify invasive plant species and choose native alternatives. -Ellen Jacquart, Past President of the Indiana Native Plant Society
  • Guarding against new invasive pests-Will Drews, Nursery Inspector and Compliance Officer-DNR Division of Entomology and Plant Pathology and Ben Burke, Knox County Natural Resource Specialist; Knox County Soil and Water Conservation District
  • Tour nearby woods for an invasive species removal demonstration. Ben Burke and Will Drews.

In addition to these sessions native plants will be on sale and door prizes will be given out. Lunch will also be provided but Registration is required. To register, visit tinyurl.com
