Knox County CISMA to host Nature Days on July 27 The Knox County Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area is hosting a Nature Days program at Southwest Purdue Ag Center 4369 N. Purdue Road in Vincennes. This event will occur from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday, July 27. The theme for 2024 is Protecting Knox County’s Biodiversity. Sessions include: Find out how to use pesticides to rid your property of invasive plants. -Val Clingerman, County Extension Director and Agriculture and Natural Resource Educator Learn how to identify invasive plant species and choose native alternatives. -Ellen Jacquart, Past President of the Indiana Native Plant Society Guarding against new invasive pests-Will Drews, Nursery Inspector and Compliance Officer-DNR Division of Entomology and Plant Pathology and Ben Burke, Knox County Natural Resource Specialist; Knox County Soil and Water Conservation District Tour nearby woods for an invasive species removal demonstration.
