The Vincennes Rotary Club has a new President.
Matthew Lindsay was introduced as the new head of the local chapter of the service organization this week.
He succeeds Chelsea Harrington.
In addition to passing the gavel to Lindsey, Harrington recognized Matthew Lindsey as “Rotarian of the Year.”
Lindsey was the Club’s Treasurer for five years and was an active volunteer for many Club activities throughout the year. Lindsey is also the District Treasurer for Rotary International District 6580.
The Rotary Club of Vincennes is looking for service-minded people to join our club. They celebrated 9 new members this year.

In other Rotary Club news, Past District Governor Jim Gislason was presented with the Distinctive Serve Award for 2023-24. The award presented to him by current District Governor Shannon O’Toole.
Gislason has been a Rotarian since 1976 and served as District Governor in 1997 and ’98.
He’s credited with playing a major role in Rotary International’s Insurance program.
