A strike at a Vincennes facility has been ongoing for nearly two months.

Ronnie Schneider was one of 5 International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Union members at Gemtron who addressed the Vincennes City Council on Monday,  saying that the company is trying to bust the union, and take members pensions away.

Schneider said he was wanting to make the council aware of what’s happening…

City Council members told those commented they were appreciative of those who attended their meeting and spoke but there isn’t a lot they can do to help the situation.

About 50 Gemtron workers went on strike on May 1st.

The company put out a statement early on in the strike saying they are working in good faith to reach an agreement.
