An open house at Jasper RC Flyers was deemed a tremendous success.

RC Flyers is club made up of radio controlled airplane enthusiasts and is a local chapter of the Academy of Model Aeronautics.

The idea of the open house was to introduce others, mainly young people and kids,  to the hobby.

Families with kids of all ages stopped by for the free event at the flying field behind the Dubois County Recycling Center outside Jasper.

Kids built and decorated chuck gliders and many took their first RC flights with the club’s experienced instructors.

The next event for the club will be the Strassenfest Fly-In on August 3rd at 10am.
