The Blue Jeans Community Center recently received a $1,000 grant from the the Knox County Community Foundation through the Knox Gives Grant Program.

Foundation advisory board members recommend the grants to local non-profits and this grant was recommended by Lorrinda Ellerman to be used for general support of the center n Monroe City.

In addition the Band Boosters, Inc of Vincennes received a $1,000 Knox Gives Grant for general support of the band program.  That recommendation was made by board member Nash Dunn.

Also the Vincennes Police Department was given a $1000 Knox Gives Grant to be used to supply each police car with emergency first aid kits.  That grant recommendation was made by Advisory Board Member Andrew Hinz.
