Friday is Arbor Day.
It began in 1874 in Nebraska and is a time when people and groups are encouraged to plant trees.
Residents in Sullivan County can get a free tree this year thanks to numerous donors.
It was March 31st last year when Sullivan was hit with a devastating tornado that took out lots of trees in that area.
The Sullivan County-Long Term Recovery Coalition says tornado survivors who would like a tree can direct message the coalition’s Facebook Page with your name and phone number.
The deadline to request is Thursday at Noon.
