An expansion of public transportation will be discussed in Vincennes on Wednesday.

A project team from R-L-S and Associates is seeking input from anyone who values transportation as a community.

R-L-S is a transportation management firm contracted by the city of Vincennes to look at the need for a bus route and how and where to implement it.

They have spoken with several groups, looked at census data, and conducted a survey.

They’ve already determined there is a need for a bus route.

Now the team is wanting public comment on options for that route to help people get to workplaces, doctor visits, recreational areas and more.

The group wants to hear from senior citizens, those with disabilities, transit riders and non riders and anyone interested in a city bus service.

Sessions will be held at 2pm and at 5:3opm on Wednesday at Vincennes City Hall.
