Hundreds of Knox County residents lost power after the storms hit in the 9-pm hour Thursday.

Most of the issues were in and around Vincennes.

As of this posting,  Duke Energy reported it would be 6-pm this evening (Friday)  before power is totally restored to all customers.

Vincennes Community Schools cancelled classes today because of the outage.

The storms took down tree limbs, power and communication lines throughout the city.

A commercial vehicle was blown over on U-S 41 near the State Road 61 overpass closing both roads.

61 was closed near Franklin School during the morning commute causing those who use that road in and out of Vincennes to find an alternate route.

Stop signs were placed at intersections where stop lights were not working

Also Organ Battery and Electric located on South 15th Street sustained damage to a building.

There were no reports of any injuries caused by the severe weather.
