Good Samaritan will host a Drug Take Back Day on Wednesday, 2 to 5 p.m.
The event gives the public a chance to safely dispose of expired or unwanted medications. Pharmacy staff will collect items at the hospital’s Sixth Street entrance under the awning.
Accepted items include prescription pills, patches, pet meds, vitamins, and over-the-counter medicine. Items not accepted include needles, inhalers, aerosols, lotions, liquids, and thermometers.
Due to a road closure, Sixth Street between Vigo and Willow will be closed during the event.
Visitors should use detours to reach the Green Parking Lot—either via Seventh and Nicholas, or Willow to Ninth to Barnett, then Seventh to Nicholas.
