Scott Charleston has been named the new director of United Way of Knox County, succeeding longtime director Mark Hill, who is retiring.

Charleston previously served as the assistant store manager at Lowe’s in Vincennes and has experience in leadership, operations, customer service, and business management. He also has a background in marketing, public relations, and community service.

Charleston said he looks forward to increasing his involvement in the community with his new position.

He will start integrating into the leadership role on April 7th.
