As the Vincennes University Men’s Trailblazer Basketball Team enters the NJCAA tournament, VU is celebrating 8 current and former VU coaches who have received NJCAA Coaches Legacy Awards, recognizing the all-time winningest coaches in the association’s history.
Honorees include current coaches Men’s Golf Coach Dennis Chattin, Men’s Basketball Coach Todd Franklin, and Women’s Volleyball Coach Gary Sien, along with past coaches Jerry Blemker, Harry Meeks, Tina Miller, Dan Sparks, and Gary Sparks.
VU Athletic Director John Meeks says this recognition highlights the lasting impact the coaches have had on student-athletes and the university. The honorees will be recognized June 17 in Charlotte, North Carolina at a lunch preceding the 2025 NJCAA Hall of Fame and Awards event scheduled for later that day.
