
A Knox County man faces drug charges after a Tuesday night traffic stop.
Indiana State Police report that 30-year-old Joshua Almy of Vincennes was stopped at State Road 441 and 16th Street for not having a rear bumper.
Officers say that he showed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests. Following a search of his vehicle, baggies with white residue and a small spoon with suspected cocaine were located.
He was arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail charged with possession of narcotics and paraphernalia and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
At around 4:33 in Gibson County on Tuesday, 56-year-old Melissa Linder was arrested in rural Patoka after deputies responded to a call and a physical altercation ensued. She’s charged with possession of meth and paraphernalia and resisting law enforcement.
In Gibson County Tuesday night, a 911 call reporting drug activity was called in and deputies responded to an apartment complex in the 100 block of West Short Street.
Deputy Wes Baumgart had previously recovered marijuana from the residence in February without filing charges and spoke with the occupants who told him there were no illegal drugs present following the earlier investigation. However, Baumgart detected the odor of burnt marijuana and during a search, meth, marijuana and paraphernalia were seized. Two people were jailed on drug possession charges.
