Pace’s retired CEO, Dr. Bertha Proctor, has been inducted into the National Community Action Hall of Fame. The honor recognizes leaders who have made lasting impacts in the Community Action movement.
Proctor led Pace for 27 years, driving innovation and change. Under her leadership, Pace launched a social enterprise in 2008, expanded training efforts nationwide, and increased program efficiency. During COVID, she created the Family Meals Program to fight food insecurity while supporting local restaurants.
Current CEO Tai Blythe said Proctor transformed Pace’s culture and left a lasting legacy.
