Knox County officials are looking at ways to improve pedestrian safety on Old Decker Road and Willow Street. The Knox County Sheriff addressed the county commissioners on Tuesday and reported complaints about heavy foot traffic in the area before sunrise and after dark.

Commissioners discussed possible short-term solutions, including providing reflective vests for pedestrians. Long-term options could involve widening road shoulders or other improvements.
