Knox County Indiana Economic Development will release a study this week analyzing essential service gaps across the Indiana First Region of the Indiana READI program, which includes Knox, Pike, Spencer, Perry, and Harrison counties.

Funded by a grant from the Community Foundation Alliance in Evansville, the study was conducted by Thomas P. Miller & Associates of Indianapolis. It examines where residents must leave their counties for services such as healthcare, groceries, and entertainment.

CEO of KCIED, Chris Pfaff, addressed the Knox County Commissioners on Tuesday on the matter and said he encourages local entrepreneurs and business owners to use the findings to identify opportunities for investment.

The study’s results will be available to the public when they are released later this week.
