Jasper Police arrested two people after an 11-month-old child was found inside a car Thursday morning.

Officers responded to a 911 call around 8:40 AM from a woman reporting the child missing.

Police found the infant inside a vehicle parked near the home, where they believe the child had been for about seven hours.

The infant was taken to Deaconess Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Investigators say criminal negligence was involved, likely due to intoxication. Cody Christensen and Kiona Kunkler were arrested for neglect, drug possession, and paraphernalia possession.

Authorities continue to investigate.
