The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened early Friday morning. Deputies responded to a call at 2:05 a.m. from Martin County requesting assistance for a man with multiple gunshot wounds at 15075 N US Highway 231.

The victim was taken to Daviess Community Hospital and later transferred to another facility in stable condition.

Authorities are searching for 35-year-old Alexander J. Carlquist, who is considered armed and dangerous. He may be driving a silver 2004 Jeep Liberty or a 2009 Ford Focus.
