Vincennes University Theatre kicks off The Real Inspector Hound tonight at 7 p.m. The play, a satire on theater criticism, humorously explores the world of two critics attending a play that isn’t quite up to par. Their observations take a twist as they become part of the production, adding layers of comedy and absurdity.

Kendra Klauser, VU Theatre Program Director, shared her excitement about the show.

“It’s a lot of fun, very silly, and I think most people will really enjoy it. It’s about two critics who get tangled in the production they’re watching. It’s farcical and very funny,” said Klauser.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $5 for Knox County school students. Admission is free for VU employees and students. Performances are tonight, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m., with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center.
