Joann, the national fabric and craft retailer, is closing 20 stores in Indiana.  It’s been confirmed that the Vincennes location is on the list of stores to close.

The closures are part of a restructuring plan after the company filed for bankruptcy again in January.

This follows a previous bankruptcy in April 2024, when the company became privately owned.

Joann is seeking to close more than 500 of its 800 U.S. stores.   The stores to close in southwest Indiana include, Vincennes, Jasper, Bedford and Bloomington.

In a news release, interim CEO Michael Prendergast said the company faced “significant and lasting challenges in the retail environment,” along with financial struggles and limited inventory. He said the court-supervised sale process is aimed at keeping Joann operational.

No timeline has been announced for store closures.
