The Vincennes Mayor’s Office has announced that signal work will begin tomorrow, January 29, on College Avenue.
Crews from Ragle Construction will start a retrofit project on traffic signals at two intersections: 6th and College, and 7th/Washington and College. The upgrades include new signal cabinets, pedestrian push buttons, signal heads, and video detection technology.
The goal of the project is to modernize the signals and improve their efficiency by programming them to work together seamlessly.
Work is expected to take up to two weeks and may occur sporadically. Drivers are urged to use caution in these areas, as disruptions to traffic signals and the presence of work crews may impact traffic flow.
