Monday was Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federal holiday honoring the civil rights leader’s legacy of nonviolence, equality, and justice.
Vincennes University will commemorate King’s legacy on Thursday with a community walk. The event is free and open to students, faculty, staff, and the public.
The walk will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time at the VU Student Recreation Center, located at 1600 Short Street in Vincennes. Participants are invited to honor King’s life and contributions by coming together in reflection and solidarity.
