Oaktown water customers are under a precautionary boil advisory today.

That’s due to a water outage that occurred on Tuesday following a construction related accident where a water main was broken.

Customer were without service Tuesday afternoon when repairs were made and service was restored.

Per state statutes, a boil advisory was put in place until water samples can be tested.

It’s advised that water be brought to a boil for about five minutes before being consumed.
