A rollover accident on Interstate 69 in Daviess County claimed the life of a Nashville, Indiana man Monday evening.
Authorities say the accident happened around 5:53 p.m. near the 55-mile marker. According to the Daviess County Central Dispatch, a single vehicle left the roadway on the east side, traveled down an embankment, struck riprap, and overturned, coming to rest on its passenger side.
The driver, 76-year-old Philip T. Wolter, was transported to Daviess Community Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators believe road conditions contributed to the crash, but the vehicle’s speed at the time of the incident remains unknown.
