The Knox County Health Department and Vincennes University Counseling Center are teaming up today to support smokers looking to quit as part of the Great American Smokeout.

The event, titled “Bear with Me, I’m Quitting,” will take place at two locations; Tecumseh Dining Center: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m and the Shake Library: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Participants can access free resources, quit kits, and engaging activities to help them take the first step toward a smoke-free life.

The Great American Smokeout is an annual event held on the third Thursday of November, encouraging smokers to quit with support from friends, family, and community resources.
