Gibson County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man following a battery incident near Francisco this morning.

At 8:34 a.m., local time,  911 received a report of a battery in the 5700 block of East 250 South. The suspect, 49-year-old Travis Siekman of Mackey, fled the scene before officers arrived.

Deputy Quinten Might responded and found an injured person at the residence. After locating Siekman at his home, Deputy Might conducted an investigation and arrested him. Siekman was transported to the Gibson County Jail and charged with Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury.

Several deputies assisted in the investigation.
