The cities of Vincennes and Bicknell have both begun curbside leaf pick-up services for the fall season, with each city reminding residents of the guidelines to keep leaf piles free of sticks, limbs, and other debris to avoid damaging equipment.
In Bicknell, residents should rake leaves to the curb but avoid placing them in the street. To schedule a pick-up, residents can call the Street Department at 812-735-2501 or email streetdept@bicknell.in.gov.
In Vincennes, leaf pick-up started this week in the areas of Willow to Main, South 2nd to South 18th, including Bunker Hill, Four Lakes, and Eastgate.
The schedule is subject to change depending on the weather.
Vincennes officials remind resident workers will not collect piles containing limbs, and limb pick-up will not be available during leaf season.
Yard debris can be dropped of at the Old Terre Haute Road collection site which is open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
