gep-week

Next week marks Global Entrepreneurship Week, a worldwide celebration running from Monday, November 18, through Friday, November 22. Established in 2008 by the Global Entrepreneurship Network, the week is designed to inspire and support potential entrepreneurs, especially young people, to pursue their business ideas.

The Pantheon Business & Innovation Center in Vincennes will host several activities to honor the week’s theme, “Entrepreneurship is for Everyone,” which emphasizes inclusivity in business creation. The theme aims to empower both aspiring and established entrepreneurs through various community events.

To kick off the celebrations, Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum and Knox County Commissioner Kellie Streeter will sign a proclamation on Friday at 3 p.m., officially designating the upcoming week as Global Entrepreneurship Week in Knox County.

Starting Monday, events will include a local entrepreneur recognition night, followed by talks from area business owners and networking opportunities throughout the week. These events are free and open to the public.
