November is Native American Heritage Month.
Several activities are happening in Vincennes in observance of indigenous peoples.
One of those happens November 23rd as the State Historic Sites will host a Piankeshaw Village Program on from 2 to 5 PM at the Territory Capitol site in Vincennes.
It’s described as a family-friendly event with crafts, games, food sampling, and information about the Piankeshaw people who once lived where Vincennes stands today.
A special presentation on the Minooteeni Park Project will take place at 3 PM. Visitors can also participate in a Bow and Arrow Station for $10 per person, with discounts for Indiana State Museum members.
