Residents in northern Knox County are experiencing a power outage.

Duke Energy reports some equipment went offline causing the disruption in electrical service.

The first reports came in just before 3-am this morning and the utility company expects power to be restored by 9-am.

North Knox Schools are operating on a two hour delay due to the outage.
