Two were arrested after a confrontation involving gunfire and vandalism on Monday.

Knox County deputies responded to a report involving gunfire at 935 N McClure Road around 10:15 a.m yesterday.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with 21-year-old Jayden Eakins and 23-year-old Katelyn Holt. Investigators determined that 36-year-old Timothy Demoura, who had fled the scene, had broken the windows of Holt’s vehicle, prompting Eakins to fire a gun at him.

Eakins was arrested and booked into the Knox County Jail for possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, a Level 5 felony.

Demoura was later located and questioned. Authorities found that he had allegedly broken the vehicle windows and threatened Eakins with a hammer. He was arrested and charged with intimidation with a weapon, a Level 5 felony, and criminal mischief, a Class A misdemeanor.

Both men were on probation for prior offenses and are being held on $10,000 bond each.
